The Boston Celtics have agreed to an early contract extension with Josh Richardson. The 27-year-old came to Boston via trade just a few weeks ago, and the Celts will now tie him to the team until 2023.
This is reported by Shams Charania (The Athletic). After the end of the season, Richardson had drawn his $ 11.6 million player option for the coming season. Then the Dallas Mavericks shipped him to Boston for Big Man Moses Brown and a trade exception.
There the winger will now receive a new contract for another year for 12.4 million, so he will not be back on the market until summer 2023.
