Boston Celtics expect Gordon Hayward to return in the Conference Finals against the Miami Heat

The Boston Celtics will soon be able to fall back on the services of Gordon Hayward. The forward is said to be celebrating his comeback after his ankle injury in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat. Only when exactly is still uncertain.

“I think he’ll be back at some point in the series, but I don’t know when,” confirmed Celtics coach Brad Stevens after Boston made it into the East Finals in Game 7 against the Toronto Raptors (here goes it to the highlights of the lot).

There the Celts meet the Miami Heat and will soon be able to fall back on Hayward, like Rebecca Haarlow from TNT had reported. The 30-year-old sprained his ankle in Game 1 of the first round of playoffs against the Philadelphia 76ers. At the time, the team said that Hayward would have to take a four-week break.

Those four weeks would end next Tuesday, September 15th. The start of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Heat (the complete series live on DAZN) terminated. The other games then take place every two days.

Hayward had already returned to the Bubble at Disney World Orlando last Sunday after recovering in Indiana with his pregnant wife and three children. He was able to end his quarantine last Friday and was present at game 7 in the arena. Before the game he did a little workout on the floor, then he watched in plain clothes.
