The absence of the Latvian Kristaps Porzings for the fourth consecutive game did not stop Joe Mazzulla’s machine, which was led by 37 points from Jaylen Brown, 26 from Jayson Tatum and 24 from the Dominican Al Horford against the Suns.
The Celtics beat Phoenix for the second time in less than a week. Last Saturday they triumphed at the Footprint Center in Arizona by 117-107 and this Thursday they did it at home on a night in which those from Boston were above 50% in field goals and from the three-point line.
They overwhelmed the Suns with 25 three-pointers. Horford scored six, Brown five and Tatum four. Phoenix was only 11 of 35 from beyond the arc.
The return of Devin Booker, who was absent in last Saturday’s game with Boston, was not enough for the Suns. He was also the leading scorer with 23 points and seven assists. Bradley Beal scored 22 points and Kevin Durant and Grayson Allen scored twenty each.
