Boston Celtics Dominate Brooklyn Nets 136-86 Without Jaylen Brown: NBA Highlights

Without the need for their All-Star guard, Jaylen Brown, the Boston Celtics beat the Brooklyn Nets 136-86 in Wednesday’s NBA game, the penultimate before the All-Star break.

The Celtics remain firmly at the top of the Eastern Conference with a balance of 43 wins and 12 losses. Their most immediate pursuer are the Cleveland Cavaliers (36-17), who on Wednesday resumed their exceptional winning streak by beating the Chicago Bulls.

In Boston, point guard Derrick White led the green offense this time with 27 points, while star forward Jayson Tatum scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists.

Jaylen Brown, who will be a substitute in Sunday’s All Star Game, was out with a shoulder bruise, as was Dominican Al Horford due to discomfort in his left foot.

The Celtics already had a half-time lead of 36 points (68-32) which allowed them to reserve Latvian power forward Kristaps Porzingis (15 points) in the second half due to his ankle discomfort.

The offensive wreckage of the Nets was absolute, with only two players in double figures in scoring. One of them was his figure, Mikal Bridges, who was left with just 10 points.

With their sixth straight victory, the Celtics prevented another team in great shape from closing ground on them, the Cleveland Cavaliers, who suffered until the end to beat the Chicago Bulls 108-105.

The Cavs thus returned to their winning ways after their setback on Monday at home against the Philadelphia 76ers and now have 18 wins in the last 20 games.

Shooting guard Donovan Mitchell, also a reserve in the All Star, led the local attack with 30 points and 7 assists while point guard Coby White stood out for the Bulls with 32 and 4.

In another of Wednesday’s 13 games, the Miami Heat remain inspired despite the losses of Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier, and defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 109-104.

Center Bam Adebayo dominated both paints for Miami with 23 points and 14 rebounds while Mexican-American rookie Jaime Jáquez Jr. had 12 points and 9 rebounds off the bench.

In one of the performances of the night, Israeli forward Deni Avdija broke his career scoring record with 43 points, and added 14 rebounds, which could not prevent the defeat of his Washington Wizards against the New Orleans Pelicans by 133-126 .
