Boston Azerbaijanis stage silent protest to commemorate the anniversary of the Khojaly genocide

Baku, March 3, AZERTAC

A silent protest has been carried out in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, to commemorate the 29th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide through the organizational support of the Center of Azerbaijan “New England”, reports AZERTAC referring to the State Committee for Labor with the Diaspora.

Members of the Azerbaijani communities in Boston and the adjacent territories participated in the protest action in Harvard Square.

The protesters held posters containing photos and information showing the horrors of Armenia’s military aggression against Azerbaijan and the genocide of Khojaly.

The protesters held signs with inscriptions “Justice for Joyalí!”, “Do not remain indifferent!”, “The genocide of Joyalí was committed by Armenia”, “Delaying justice means denying justice”.

The Armenian armed units, supported by the former Soviet 366 motorized rifle regiment, committed a genocide in the city of Khoyalí and massacred the inhabitants of this city on the night of February 25-26, 1992. As a result, the military Armenians killed 613 people, including 106 women, 63 children and 70 elderly people. Some experts call the Joyali tragedy “Srebrenica azerbaiyana”.
