Without Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown was the leading scorer with 27 points, on a night in which the Celtics bench was decisive with 62 points, 25 from Grant Williams and 23 from Malcom Brogdon. Pascal Siakam (29 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists) and Gary Trent (22 points) stood out for the Raptors. Juancho Hernangómez had 1 rebound and 2 assists in 10 minutes of play.

Without Joel Embiid and James Harden by rest, the Philadelphia 76ers sealed a victory of great merit on the court of some Sacramento Kings who had won their last six games. The Cavaliers, fifth in the East, triumphed despite the absence of Donovan Mitchell and could count on a double of 21 points and 10 from Darius Garland. Three Terry Rozier free throws (34 points) with 1.1 seconds left in the fourth quarter helped the Hornets cap a 19-point comeback and snap the Hawks’ five-game winning streak. For the Hornets, penultimate in the East, Mason Plumlee signed a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds. In Atlanta, Trae Young (25 points and 12 assists) and Dejonte Murray (26 points) shone.

The Wizards added their second consecutive victory, at the expense of the Magic, driven by Rui Hachimura’s 30 points coming off the bench. Seven Wizards players finished in double figures, including Kyle Kuzma (25 points and 10 rebounds). Markelle Fultz was the best of those from Orlando with 23 points and 8 assists.
Phoenix Suns, 112 – Indiana Pacers, 107
The Indiana Pacers cannot get out of their rut and this Saturday they chained their seventh straight defeat by losing in Phoenix against the Suns without Chris Paul and Devin Booker and who were led by Josh Okogie (24 points and 10 rebounds) and Mikal Bridges (22 points). Bennedict Mathurin (23 points) stood out for the Pacers along with TJ McConnell (18 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists).
Minnesota Timberwolves, 113 – Houston Rockets, 104
Anthony Edwards, with a record of 44 points and 6 rebounds, destroyed some Houston Rockets hopelessly who have lost their last 13 games. The Spanish Usman Garuba contributed 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block in Houston.
