Chicago – If you have a dog but not in a back yard, getting your furry friend some decent playtime can be a challenge, especially if your dog prefers to play alone.
For Orca, Bosly’s backyard in Ravenswood was a life changing place that gave freedom to dogs who just wanted to run.
“Orca interacts a lot with other dogs, cats and squirrels,” said dog owner Nicole Zacharias.
Orca was a rescue that was abused and neglected as a puppy. The room in Bosly’s backyard offers her space to stimulate her mind and gain some energy.
Ravenswood businesses are a safe haven for dogs who may be more prone to stress around other dogs and people.
The place was very useful for Chicago residents who own dogs without access to a nearby yard or dog park.
“While there are many dogs that are social butterflies, many are reluctant and need their own space. Getting your dog to the dog park can be stressful, ”said Kim Theobald of Bosley.
Theobald said she had the idea for more than nine years and that her dream recently came true. The room is named after Kim Bosley’s dog.
Space obstacle courses also provide obstacle courses that dogs can use to practice their cognitive skills.
Currently, Bosly’s Backyard is dog-only and is located at 4011 N. Ravenswood Avenue Suite 108, Chicago, IL 60613.
