The journalist from the La Posta site, Andersson Boscan, has provided a version before the State Attorney General’s Office for the Metastasis Case, electronically, on the afternoon of this Friday, March 8. His physical appearance was scheduled for 2:00 p.m., but he did not appear in person to the Prosecutor’s Office offices.
Subsequently, it was learned that he gave testimony virtually.
«He who owes nothing always shows his face. I have finished my version in the Prosecutor’s Office as a third party who knows the facts. I thank you again for the opportunity to contribute from journalism to Justice.”Boscán tweeted.
At 2:00 p.m., however, she arrived at the headquarters of the Prosecutor’s Office in Quito, escorted by the Police, the provincial prosecutor of Guayas, Yanina Villagómez. The version is expected Claudia Garzónwho was part of a prison pacification commission during the government of President Guillermo Lasso.
The Prosecutor gave 72 hours to the Financial and Economic Analysis Unit (UAFE) and the Internal Revenue Service (SRI) to prepare and send reports on the financial and tax movements of the three investigated, from 2022 to date.
Boscán, Villagómez and Garzón are part of a group of eighteen people that the Prosecutor’s Office has begun to investigate within the Metastasis case, arising from the content of the phone chats of drug trafficker Leandro Noreromurdered in Latacunga in September 2022, and for which there are already 38 defendants, including the president of the Judiciary Council, Wilman Terán, and which revealed deep connections between drug traffickers and the judicial function.
The deadline for completing the tax investigation ends in mid-April, and The Prosecutor’s Office may file charges against new defendants until mid-March.
