Bos races in track record to world cup victory

Kimberley Bos celebrates her fast second run

NOS Sport

Skeleton star Kimberley Bos has won a World Cup competition for the fourth time in her career. On the track in Innsbruck, after the first run, it seemed that Bos was going to have an anonymous day on the sled, but with an impressive second run she still took the victory in Austria.

The gold will do Bos’s mind good, two weeks after she finished second at the World Championships at 0.01 seconds. The way she took gold in Innsbruck was also beautiful. After the first moto Bos was only eleventh, 0.30 seconds behind the American Hallie Clarke.

From eleven to one

But Bos, winner of last season’s World Cup, excelled with a track record in her second run. This made her 0.61 seconds faster than in the first heat. That turned out to be too much for the competition. Clarke eventually finished second at 0.28 seconds.

In 2021, 2022 and 2023 Bos won World Cup competitions in Winterberg, this victory in Austria is the fourth of her career.
