Börzsönyring Cycling Performance Tour on September 23! – Danube Bend Region

The organizers are preparing musical programs, a gastro street and a multitude of exhibitors, from whom we learned that 1,500 people have already signed up for the two distances.

This year, the Börzsöny Ring, undoubtedly one of the most popular bicycle performance tours in Hungary, will be held for the fifth time, starting from Szob on Saturday, September 23, at 10 a.m. This year, it is also possible to complete the route on the Danube bend, through the wonderful hills of Börzsöny, so that the participants can return to the starting point, Szobra, along the Ipoly river. Cyclists will touch both historical and sacred places, as well as wonderful natural attractions on the marked road.

Entry is – as usual – free, and the organizers are preparing four refreshment points where participants can buy mineral water, scones and fruit. In addition, experienced cyclists will provide help and advice on completing the 90 km distance.

The 30 km Family Ipoly Circuit, which was a great success last year, is once again waiting for families, who can enrich themselves with an excellent joint experience and a nice weekend program if they set off along the coast between the Ipoly River and Burda Hill, also touching the Highlands. The Ipolykör route consists of grassy and sandy sections, so it can be done comfortably by both children and adults using an ordinary mountain bike. The start of the Börzsöny Ring and the Family Ipolykör, which starts an hour and a half later, are preceded by a musical warm-up so that all participants can get in the mood before completing the distances.

There will be no shortage of gastronomic experiences and musical programs either, as local buffets and fast food trucks will provide mouth-watering dishes. From six o’clock in the evening, Fiesta will make the audience dance, and from seven o’clock DJ Heryk’s retro party will close this year’s event.

The main patron of the event is Dr. Bence Rétvári, Member of Parliament
