Gladbach lost 5-2 in the away game at Borussia Dortmund on matchday 32 of the Bundesliga on Saturday (May 13, 2023).
Borussia Mönchengladbach remains without an away win in Dortmund
The Foals were behind after just five minutes after a goal from Dortmund’s Malen, and Borussia had to concede more goals in the 18th, 20th and 32nd minutes.
Gladbach played much better in the second half of the game and then managed to reduce the deficit to 2: 4 with a penalty from Ramy Bensebaini (75th minute) and a goal from substitute Lars Stindl (86th). however, Dortmund’s Reyna scored the fifth goal in injury time.
Due to the renewed away bankruptcy not only the goal difference of the foals suffers. The eleven from the Lower Rhine also lost the place in the table in front of the unloved Rhineland rivals from Cologne. This is now two points more than Borussia in tenth place, Gladbach slips to eleventh place in the table.
The foals could not be relegated before the duel of the 32nd match day.
The team from the Lower Rhine will play their next competitive game on May 21, 2023 at Bayer Leverkusen. Kick-off is then at 7:30 p.m.
