Erling Haaland’s replacement has arrived Borussia Dortmund. The club just formalized the move Sebastian Haller.
Dortmund have reached an agreement with Ajax Amsterdam since last week for the transfer of Haller worth 31 million euros. That amount could increase to 34.5 million euros depending on Haller’s appearance.
Haller then held a medical test to complete his move to Signal-Iduna Park, before it was finally inaugurated on Wednesday (6/7/2022) night WIB.

The player from the Ivory Coast has signed a four-year contract and wears the number nine jersey that Haaland wore last season.
“Borussia Dortmund, who will appear in the Champions League, has just recruited Sebastian Haller. The 28-year-old player from Ivory Coast left Dutch club Ajax to join BVB with a contract until June 30, 2026,” Dortmund’s official statement said.
Haller’s arrival relieved Dortmund, who really needed a sharp striker after Haaland’s departure. During his 1.5 seasons for Ajax, Haller scored 47 goals in 65 matches.
He helped Ajax win two Dutch League titles in a row, including last season’s top scorer with 21 goals. He also contributed 11 goals in the Champions League.
Haller is no stranger to the Bundesliga, having played for Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 seasons. There are a total of 33 goals made from 77 matches.
