Borussia Dortmund demolishes Celtic with a tremendous 7-1 win
In a show of strength, Borussia Dortmund beat Glasgow Celtic with a resounding 7-1 at the Signal Iduna Park, in a match corresponding to the second day of the UEFA Champions League.
This victory marks the second big win of the season in the competition, after Bayern Munich’s overwhelming 9-2 defeat of Dinamo Zagreb on the first day.
Winger Karim Adeyemi shined, scoring a triple in the first half before having to retire due to injury. Serhou Guirassy contributed with a double, while Emre Can and Nmecha completed the scoring tally.
In front of almost 82 thousand spectators, Dortmund showed total dominance, especially in the first 45 minutes.
The match began with a clear penalty in favor of Dortmund, converted by Emre Can in the 7th minute.
However, just two minutes later, the Japanese Daizen Maeda equalized the score for Celtic, after an action in which there were doubts about the legality of the goal, but the VAR confirmed its validity. From there, Dortmund unleashed their offensive potential, with Adeyemi scoring in the 11th minute and adding two more goals before the break.
