Jayden Braaf joined Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City in the summer. Sure, many fans were quick to remember Jadon Sancho, but the 20-year-old has yet to follow in his predecessor’s great footsteps.
So far, Braaf has only played for Borussia Dortmund’s Under-23s in the 3rd division, but has yet to impress there. Now BVB should be ready to lend the full-back to give him more training for the match.
Borussia Dortmund: Braaf on loan?
According to a report by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Borussia Dortmund are set to let Jayden Braaf go in January. As a result, the BVB is considering loaning out the 20-year-old. This may give Braaf more time to play and increase his development.
BVB should easily find a buyer. It seems that several clubs are interested in a loan. However, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano does not name specific clubs.
Braaf started with a large loan to the BVB
No wonder Braaf didn’t get off to a good start at Borussia Dortmund. The 20-year-old suffered a serious knee injury in 2021 from which he only recovered after joining Borussia Dortmund.
Sporting director Sebastian Kehl said of his commitment: “After more than an injury-free year, he will definitely need time to regain his old strength and fully establish himself in men’s football. We want to give him time and present him carefully. If Jayden manages to get through the period ahead and pull clean, we have a great talent in him.”

Now Borussia Dortmund could take a new path with the Dutchman. A loan has already given one or the other talent the necessary career boost. This is also demonstrated by the talent of BVB Ansgar Knauff at Eintracht Frankfurt.
