The Bundesliga continues with the third matchday and Borussia Dortmund welcomes 1. FC Heidenheim. Both teams have started the new season strongly and want to score the next points. The hosts are the big favorites in this duel, but the guests have shown that they are not to be underestimated.
BVB has four points from two games so far. After a confident 2-0 home win against Eintracht Frankfurt, there was a goalless draw at SV Werder Bremen. Central defender Nico Schlotterbeck was shown the yellow card, meaning Borussia Dortmund had to finish the match with fewer players.
1. FC Heidenheim has started the new season even better. After a 2-0 away win at newly promoted FC St. Pauli, there was a brilliant home win against FC Augsburg. The final score was 4-0 for the hosts, who even secured the top spot in the table – for the first time in the club’s history.
