Börse Express – Startup REELOQ takes off 2 million deal despite a broken 2 minutes

Graz (OTS) – In the 2M2M show on May 12, 2020, the Graz startup REELOQ was able to invest € 75,000 with its patented security system from Dr. Haselsteiner (STRABAG) and Ms. Schneider (Mediashop) secure. The deal did not come about afterwards, however, because the investors’ offer was not attractive enough for the young startup in the long term.

The 2 minute 2 million deal

After the double deal in the show 2 minutes 2 million, the startup was initially very happy about the promised capital, but the deal did not materialize. “It would only have been a short-term financial success for REELOQ, but long-term and sustainable success is important to me,” says founder Lukas Watzinger.

Big rush after the broadcast

After the broadcast in May 2020, the interest in the patented product was immense. The amount that was planned for the entire summer was sold in just two hours. Longer delivery times due to Corona also made the delivery process of the young start-up more difficult. Therefore, the young team decided without further ado to assemble their products themselves in countless night shifts in order to speed up delivery times. “It was a very busy and stressful time,” remembers Julia Schadinger, who is responsible for marketing and sales. After assembling the products and resolving the delivery problems, the startup was able to breathe a sigh of relief and focus more on its core tasks.

Annual target achieved after a short time

New strong cooperation partners

Alpine association and individual mountain rescue groups become REELOQ’s partners who use the innovative anti-drop system to secure smart tools in everyday life. For partners, REELOQ offers the possibility of co-branding, which is possible from 50 pieces.
