The price weakness on the technology-heavy Nasdaq exchange from the beginning of the week continued on Tuesday. The Nasdaq 100 lost another 2.74 percent in early trading to 12,861 points and slipped below the 13,000 mark. It also fell below the average line for the past 50 trading days, which is an indicator of the medium-term trend. Tech stocks had risen above average in recent months, and investors are now taking price gains with them.
The leading index Dow Jones Industrial fell 0.48 percent to 31,369 points. The market-wide S&P 500 fell by 1.19 percent to 3830 points./bek/he
