Börse Express – New York Stocks End: S&P 500 and tech indices climb further records

NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – The tech rally continues to drive the record hunt on Wall Street. Both the most important technology-oriented stock market barometers and the wide-ranging S&P 500 reached highs in trading on Monday. Most recently, calm statements by the US Federal Reserve in terms of monetary policy provided fresh momentum.

The highly regarded Nasdaq 100 won among the tech indices
1.12 percent to 15,605.09 points. The broader Nasdaq Composite rose by almost 1 percent.

The S&P 500 advanced 0.43 percent to 4528.79 points. The leading index Dow Jones Industrial on the other hand, the bottom line was little movement and closed 0.16 percent in the red with 35 399.84 points./la/mis
