Borna Sosa is sure: Ajax will have a better year next season. The Croatian left back did not expect things to go so badly after his arrival, but he does not regret his move at all.

Ajax signed Sosa on the final day of the summer transfer period. “One reason was Sven Mislintat, who I knew from my time at VfB Stuttgart,” Sosa says in an interview with Transfer market. “I have a good relationship with him. Ajax is a very big club, which has won the Champions League four times. Ajax is also a springboard, so from here you can move on to the Premier League or another top competition. I am looking forward to what was good for me, and Ajax had a good story. It was a good transfer for me. I would do it again.”
Ajax also performed less last season, but still reached the cup final and finished third. This season has been dramatic at times, something Sosa did not expect when he signed. “It’s strange. It irritates, because a season like this normally doesn’t happen at Ajax. I’m sure we will be better next season. A lot of new players have arrived this summer. After the dismissal of Maurice Steijn and the arrival of John van ‘t Schip, things went better for Ajax, which rose from eighteenth place to fifth place. “The change of coach was important for us,” the full-back reflects. “John van ‘t Schip was a former player at Ajax and understands the club better.
