Borissov with urgent measures after Kurtz’s explosive words about the secret agreements for the K-19 vaccines

The Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, the Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz and the Prime Ministers of the Czech Republic Andrej Babis, of Latvia Arturs Krishjanis Karins and of Slovenia Janez Janša called for a discussion at European level on the supply of vaccines against COVID-19 in the Member States. This was announced by the government information service.

The five leaders sent a letter to European Council (EU) President Charles Michel and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, stressing the importance of European solidarity, which ensures that all Member States, large or small, have equal access to the limited resource currently represented by COVID-19 vaccines.

The letter recalls the conclusions reached after the video conference of the members of the European Council on 21 January, which states that vaccines should be delivered simultaneously and should be distributed proportionally on the basis of the population of the member states.

Failure to respect this proportionality would lead to huge differences between Member States by the summer, with some reaching collective immunity in a matter of weeks, while others lagging far behind, the letter said.

According to Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and the other four European leaders who signed the letter, it must be ensured that all EU member states will be able to meet the common vaccination targets set by the European Commission (EC) for the second quarter of this year.

The letter also notes that vaccination is a turning point in the fight against COVID-19. The Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, the Austrian Chancellor and the Prime Ministers of the Czech Republic, Latvia and Slovenia thank the President of the European Commission and the President of the European Council for their tireless efforts to ensure, improve and accelerate the supply of vaccines to all European citizens in difficult circumstances. in record time.

BLIC recalls that on Friday the Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz accused some EU countries, without naming them, of negotiating behind the scenes more vaccines than they would like according to the population and this has led to an unfair distribution of vaccines among the bloc countries.

Shortly afterwards, the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov had a conversation with him.

EXPECT DETAILS IN BLITZ!
