Once again, the resigned Prime Minister and leader of GERB Boyko Borissov chose not to talk to journalists, but to representatives of his party on important topics for the country. After joining Facebook from Bankya live yesterday morning to announce that GERB will return the mandate to form a government, today he received in his home the mayor of Sofia, Yordanka Fandakova, MPs from the party, municipal councilors in Sofia and more young representatives of the political force.
From the video broadcast in his profile, which lasted more than an hour, it became clear that the party is working on updating the people in key positions. “This is our future change, we will choose from them. We will elect the new mayor of Sofia, the new municipal councilors, the new deputies and ministers,” Borissov said, hinting that Fandakova would not be GERB’s candidacy for the next mayoral election.
Vote with 200 and laugh at what they will do to the state
The resigned prime minister used his involvement to attack the leader of “There is such a people” Slavi Trifonov, announcing that he now bears full responsibility for the next elections, which he said will fail. He was referring to the changes in the election rules adopted yesterday at first reading, which were proposed by “There is such a people”.
“Our friend, MP Trifonov, may not have understood what they did to him. Everyone rejected their election laws, including GERB. They acted cleverly. Despicable but clever. But from now on Slavi Trifonov bears all the responsibility for the failed next elections. This will I remind him every day. It should be noted that GERB did not reject its proposal for majority elections for MPs. It was simply not supported by any other party. The final vote on the changes to the Electoral Code is expected next week, as only three days were given for proposals between first and second reading. According to unofficial information, the parties are in a hurry to complete the changes in the election rules, as a government is unlikely to be formed and will return to early elections in July.
Let them talk
Borissov called on his party members not to demand the resignation of Maya Manolova as chairman of the commission for the revision of management decisions in the last 10 years. Yesterday, at an extraordinary briefing, GERB deputies announced that they would do so after the chairman of the parliamentary group of “Stand up! Get out!”, Together with other members of the commission, visited the building of the energy company Bulgartransgaz for to request the documentation for the construction of a continuation of “Turkish Stream” through Bulgarian territory.
“It is very stupid to ask for the resignation of Maya Manolova. She must speak every minute, this hysteria must continue. Let this commission have it and it be its chairman, to go around the companies,” Borissov added and suggested that all project documentation be loaded on trucks and be taken to parliament, as its volume is very large.

According to Borissov, the president is deliberately delaying and does not say when he will hand over the mandate to form a cabinet to “There are such people”. Today, Radev announced that he could let parliament do some important work before giving the party’s investigative mandate to Slavi Trifonov.
“I watch Radev hang out and I don’t know why. There was no legal deadline, but you were in a hurry for a government? Now the backstage is running. Why did they insist on returning the mandate so quickly, and now they are delaying,” the resigned prime minister said.
