GERB will not take the second mandate. This was announced by the party leader Boyko Borisov in Burgas. It was also clear from his words that GERB would have supported a government of “Continuing the Change” if they had fulfilled theirs.
“There is no one to negotiate for the third term. We have decided not to govern with the BSP. If you give it to them and I want to, Congress has obliged me not to. Hristo Ivanov said he was looking for other friends. He will sit at the same table with the mafia, and it was early for them with GERB, they were studying,” he said in Burgas.
Borisov criticized the resigned government. “They didn’t make one birdhouse, one bike lane. AM “Trakia” has not been maintained for a year and a half. It is already dangerous for your health and life. The middle lane has not been repaired, the lanes drive in the emergency lane, and everyone runs in the left lane. This is what they brought. That wasn’t enough for them. They built an entire election campaign on AM “Hemus”, said the leader of GERB.
“They know what they have done. They know about their complete failure and they know that they have to escape quickly”, Borisov pointed out.
“Their justice reform was to find a post for Boyko Rashkov. In seven months, three bills have been introduced out of their entire large-scale reform. Only one of them was accepted by the ruling coalition. These guys have been ministers for a year and a half, and it turns out that in every problematic situation there are policemen and cars with a special traffic regime involved,” he added.
According to him, GERB has helped “Continuing the Change” several times. “The most difficult issue for this government was the election of the head of the BNB. We helped. Then Ukraine – we helped. Then there was North Macedonia. Not only did we not attack them, we tabled the motion. Then there were the amateurish expulsions of Russian diplomats. Despite everything, we still supported them so that the BSP could come out clean. We would have supported them for government. I would still find three deputies”, commented the leader of GERB.
“Let them humble themselves a bit. True, they are about to cheat the machines again. Let’s hope that this time we will be more vigilant”, he continued.
“Radev caused a lot of damage. He brought these people and life will give him back now for the caretaker government. How am I going to fix the slime they left behind? With my experience, I am not hired. I can only wish him success”, said Boyko Borisov.
“Only, and God is my witness and my colleagues, revanchism is like hatred and envy – they eat from the inside. If these guys weren’t so mean and brutal they would have ruled for a very long time. A nation in which revanchism becomes politics is lost at work. We lend a hand to everyone. The weather is so bad”, added the GERB leader.
