Borisov predicted new elections and gave Radev an ultimatum

Three days before that opening of the 51st Parliamentthe leader of the first GERB political force, Boyko Borisov, began to refuse to form a regular government.

“It is obvious to everyone that new elections are coming. All the parties are behaving as if they were in an election campaign”he said at the beginning of the party’s National Conference on Friday.

According to him, even if the new National Assembly succeeds in appointing a normal cabinet, there will be a struggle between the institutions and the political crisis will deepen.

His statement comes in response to the words of the Vice-President Iliana Yotva, according to which the new parliament is illegitimate.

“Since it is illegitimate, why do we gather on Monday to swear in? Why, since it is illegitimate, is it the power of the Constitutional Court to send to the election money? What are the partial money games is this”Borisov was disappointed.

He announced that this was his last attempt to “have a smarter political class before Monday” and issued an ultimatum to the presidential institution.

“I expect that Vice President Yotova will apologize or the president will withdraw the order to call the parliament on Monday. One of the two. There is no other side.” Borisov said.

He assured that GERB will not deny him the Speaker of the National Assembly broadcast, “because it’s not fair” and lamenting the lack of political class shown by Kamala Harris and Joe Biden in Donald Trump’s victory in the United States presidential election.

Borisov also said that his party is preparing for the 8th early elections and he expected the ninth one to follow.

Stay tuned for details.
