Borisov on the Ninova attacks: “There are no cowards here. We are ready to investigate all transactions of the transition” – 2024-08-11 10:54:08

/ world today news/ Prime Minister Boyko Borisov reacted instantly to the opposition leader’s request for an investigation into the entire transition, not just privatization. He is currently on a working visit to Rome, but before his meeting with the Italian Prime Minister, he was informed of Cornelia Ninova’s briefing and ordered the GERB to support the demands of the BSP. “There are no cowards here. We are ready to investigate all transactions of the transition”. This is stated in an official position of GERB on the occasion of today’s request of the BSP for an investigation of the entire transition, which would include both the privatization of socialist property, groupings, and concessions.

Borisov’s position was announced at an extraordinary GERB briefing in the parliament an hour after the BSP press conference on “Positano” 20

“The decision of Prime Minister and GERB leader Boyko Borisov, who is currently on a visit to Rome, was announced to the media by MP Desislava Atanasova. “It’s time to normalize the tone and have a normal political debate. After the BSP press conference, we talked with Boyko Borissov, who is in Rome and I am authorized to convey the following: “GERB will participate in any initiative on any occasion and on all topics that the BSP proposes to become the goal of a change in the Constitution. We are ready to send a team for negotiations for an amendment tomorrow in the basic law”, stated Desislava Atanasova.

She added that the party’s position is to make all transactions of the transition public. “We expect this political will from the BSP”, added Atanasova.
