This was stated by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov on the occasion of the decision of the arbitration court for the “Belene” NPP, according to which the country owes us nearly half a billion euros. The energy minister talked to the Russian side, we talked to them. Now in Iran we will see if they are interested in such a thing, to sell the reactor there together with the Russian side.” And he added: “Third option – to announce the privatization project. And if all these options fail, then I will enter the parliament and I say – colleagues, we either have to invest this much money in the new budget, with all the interest that goes on a day, or we have to lift the moratorium and then look for money to build it. These are the three options”.
When asked what the analysis shows so far and what is the most likely option, Borisov stated that there is no good or bad option, if we play it well. In connection with this, has he spoken with “Atomstroyexport”, the Prime Minister clarified that the Bulgarian Energy Minister Temenuzka Petkova, her Russian colleague Alexander Novak and the people from “Atomstroyexport” are holding talks and are in contact.
