/ world today news/ The BSP is creating a serious problem in its justified desire to demand a vote of no confidence in the second deteriorated edition of the “Borisov” cabinet. For the simple reason that there is no sector where any positive results have been achieved. Even with the most tolerant attitude towards the government, the rating for each minister gravitates around 3½. Maximum. According to the decimal system. For some, it even drops below zero.
Quite deservedly, the one-book prime minister could be delicately asked to pack up his coterie and walk away – but this time for good – due to an overall criminally inept administration. But since there is no such practice, perhaps we will concentrate on the most important failure. National security.
But not in the limited understanding of security as protecting the state border from invading aliens with a loose cordon posted border policemen with torn Cubans. Not like finding gas money for the patrol cars and money for uniforms. Not as another facade reform in the judicial system.
And in that comprehensive sense that defines a country as stable in the eyes of its citizens (and not in the narcissistic eyes of the ruler). Who guarantees not only life, health and bread, but economic prosperity, fertility, intellectual growth, etc. In a word – the provision of a high standard of living by covering all the criteria of Maslow’s infamous pyramid of needs.
Because the demographic problem is a key aspect of national security. Because whose security will we talk about once the nation disappears – abroad or in the better of both worlds. But the care of this has been left in the hands of an unremarkable former foreign minister and failed presidential candidate. And our mothers and fathers, who built this country, are counting their pennies in front of the dilemma – medicine or yogurt, young mothers wonder if these children should go for diapers, for puree or still for a developing children’s toy – a child needs not only from food, right? But social assistance is primarily aimed at a population that, although Bulgarian on paper, will be written New Zealand tomorrow, if “social” gives more there.
Because education is also part of security. And once again, not a minister, but a liquidator has been appointed to the Ministry of Education. Executioner of literacy, quality education, historical memory of new generations. A person who somehow (knowingly, but that’s a different topic) got attached to the title of professor, and it replaced his first name. Who cuts curricula like Kremikovsky scrap machines, who throws Bulgarian writers out of the textbooks who will turn in their graves if one makes the mistake of offering them a flower. And illiteracy is spreading, early school leaving is no longer a news topic, teachers are the poorest, science is going to its logical sunset.
And healthcare is security. What kind of security is there when ambulances arrive at the patient only to find exitus lethalis, when the patient is not sure whether the doctor will bring him to the end of the treatment or drop him to where the health path ends, when the parents of sick children continue to they rely on the SMS of good people and the last pennies in the donation boxes, since treatment abroad is the last hope for many. And the minister walks around in a luxury limousine, which is about to become a political hearse for him.
And culture is security. But for a sculpture-minister it is a certainty brought from the past. Because it is easy to walk the Thracian treasures around Europe, to expose the ancient beauty from under the urban ugliness of the cities, to brag about the achievements of the ancestors. But investment in culture today is security in the future tomorrow. Because the mask of Sevt III has remained over the centuries, and after the minister with the cigar, the misery and penury of the Bulgarian theater, cinema, amateur ensembles, orchestras will remain. The only consolation is that our talents are saved individually – abroad, unfortunately.
And for what specialists usually refer to as national security – energy, internal order, special services, intelligence, foreign and defense policy – it is best to remain silent. Like a dead man.
The latter problems have long been solved outside Bulgaria. Because the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Defense frankly before saying “Good morning!” consult with Washington – is it good or not. Because with every action or inaction, both of them endanger the national interest and take care of the foreign interest. Welcomed by the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State. All three – more American than the indigenous people of Dakota, more European than Robert Schumann.
At the same time, our military has been reduced to service personnel and cannon fodder for foreign missions.
Our energy policy is not subordinated to Bulgarian needs, but to the will of external factors.
The systematic destruction of the police, intelligence and counter-intelligence bodies reached its peak during the second administration of the so-called insider B.B. Because the strong and independent offices work for the interests of the state, subordinates – for the interests of the authorities. The judicial system is also at the mercy of the rulers. And the pseudo-reforms want to put on a “stack” collar.
In any normal country, all this is enough to stone the government out. Somewhere they even hang out at gas stations. But not in ours. Therefore, let’s try the efficient but legal parliamentary procedure – a vote of no confidence. Not that it will pass…
At least there will be a debate and people will once again hear the harsh truth. Not that they don’t run into it every day. Also, maybe in the next – regular or early elections – every vote will be a stone in the ruinous for Bulgaria the administration of Borisov’s second term. Last!!!
One may wonder why there is not a single name in this text. Quite simply – the names of these people are not worth remembering. They have left nothing to mention them. With good – there’s nothing to do, with bad – there’s no point…
