Figure skater Gleb Smolkin, son of famous actor Boris Smolkin, complained of serious problems. He and his ice partner Diana Davis were unable to come to the Russian Grand Prix, even though they planned to perform a new program there.
The fact is that 23-year-old Gleb has been training in the United States for a long time. But every homecoming comes with some misadventures. This time he was constantly detained at the border and Smolkin had to spend six hours at talks. Meanwhile, Diana was waiting for him and “sitting” on her suitcases.

Gleb Smolkin has been paired with Diana Davis, daughter of coach Eteri Tutberidze, for four years. The pair have been playing at senior level since the 2021-2022 season. At the 2022 Olympics, Davis and Smolkin took 14th place.
