British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has promised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that London will defend Kyiv’s interests at the upcoming meetings of the Group of Seven (G-7) and NATO.
This is stated in a statement by the Prime Minister’s Office after the telephone conversation between the two leaders today.
During the conversation, the two stressed the importance of exerting continued pressure on Russia. The leaders, who talk to each other regularly, have agreed to contact more often in the coming days, Nova TV reported.
On his Twitter page, Johnson wrote that the kingdom would continue to provide Ukraine with “military, economic and diplomatic support” to end the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible.
