EBritish Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced during his second visit to kyiv that he will give Ukraine the “strategic resistance” to prevail against Russia’s invasion.
Britain will also work with Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky to free up grain for export through the Black Sea which he said was being held “hostage” by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Boris Johnson told the news conference. jointly with Zelensky.
Offering to launch the military training program for the Ukrainian forces, he was welcomed by the Ukrainian president as a “great friend” and posted a photo of himself with him.
The training operation for Ukrainian forces has the potential to train up to 10,000 soldiers every 120 days, according to the prime minister’s office.
With the military training program, Johnson reaffirmed his commitment to Ukraine, stating that the United Kingdom is with the nation “until they finally prevail.”
That is why I have offered President Zelensky a major new military training program that could change the equation of this war, harnessing the most powerful of forces, the Ukrainian determination to win.”
It is worth mentioning that the new military training program will train Ukrainian forces outside the country. Each soldier will spend three weeks learning frontline battle skills, as well as basic medical training, cyber security and counter-explosive tactics.
During the meeting Zelensky and Johnson discussed the need to increase supplies of heavy weapons and build up Ukrainian air defenses. They even included stepping up sanctions against Russia and rallying diplomatic support for Ukraine.
