Boris Johnson has been infected before – isolated again after breakfast meeting – VG

Last Thursday, Johnson had a meeting with several members of parliament in Nr. 10 Downing Street. One of those who attended the meeting, MP Lee Anderson, has since been diagnosed with the infection.

Boris Johnson was infected with corona in April. Yes he became seriously ill and was hospitalized.

Anderson posted a picture on Thursday afternoon on his Facebook page where he posed with the British Prime Minister. Sunday he has posted a new post where he says that on Friday he lost his sense of taste and that his wife got a severe headache.

– At lunch with the Prime Minister. I was there with the wish list for Ashfield and Eastwood (the constituency he represents jou.anm.), He wrote.

He tested himself on Saturday, and on Sunday the result came back positive.

The meeting with the members of parliament lasted according to The Guardian for 35 minutes.

Downing Street has stated that the prime minister’s residence is a safe place to work, but that factors such as the length of the meeting mean that Johnson should still go into isolation.

– The Prime Minister will follow the rules, and isolate himself. He will continue to work from Downing Street, including dealing with the pandemic. He feels good and shows no symptoms, says a spokesman for Boris Johnson.

The coming week will be demanding for the Prime Minister, who enters into final negotiations on the issue of Brexit. He must now attend a video conference from Nr. 10 Downing Street.

Hard week for Johnson

It has been a turbulent week for the British Prime Minister. Friday night Johnson’s controversial special adviser and chief of staff Dominic Cummings resigned.

He has had a major influence on Johnson’s policies, and has been an important strategist for the Prime Minister.

Lately, however, he has been at the center of a power struggle in British top politics. Among other things, he has broken the infection control rules and opposed the quarantine laws he himself has been behind.

Johnson’s communications manager Lee Cain also resigned this week.

Infected in March – became seriously ill

After Johnson was released from the hospital in April, he thanked the health service for saving his life.

“I owe them my life,” Boris Johnson is said to have told friends Sky News.

He is further said to have said that the doctors and nurses gave him “exemplary” treatment.

Since then, Johnson has both reopened society – and closed it down again.

On the same day that Britain passed one million corona-infected in the transition from November to October, the Prime Minister introduced several strict measures.

– Christmas will be different this year, he said.

He then introduced the following measures:

• All pubs and restaurants close. Take-away and delivery of food should be allowed.
• All stores that are not absolutely necessary should close.
• Meetings at home are not allowed, with the exception of childcare and other forms of support.
• Travel abroad will not be allowed, with the exception of business travel.
• Domestic travel is not recommended, with the exception of business travel.
• Overnight stays outside the home are only allowed for work purposes.
• Courts, schools and universities are still open.
• Exercise and outdoor activities are encouraged.
• Religious gatherings are not allowed, but it is allowed to visit denominations to pray.
