In his documentary «Boom! Boom! – The World vs. Boris Becker »there is one big revelation after the next.
After Becker talked about his ex-wives, it’s now about money. And there has been less and less of that in his account over the years.
In the documentary (AppleTV+), the ex-tennis star says the following in the second part entitled “Disaster” when asked by the production team.
“Boris, how did it come to this?” Becker: «Good question. Many have asked me that. You earn a lot of money, you start cultivating a certain lifestyle.”
And further: “Then you don’t earn as much as you used to, but you still live this lifestyle.”
The documentary talks about a 1.2 million pound (around 1.4 million Swiss francs) loan from a billionaire. Boris Becker is said to have received it at an interest rate of 25 percent.
“But I wasn’t an asshole. (….). Nothing was ever for my personal gain. I had bills to pay. I have an ex-wife (Barbara, editor’s note), I have four children.”

And then the ex-tennis star reveals why he and his wife Sharlely (46) are not yet divorced. “We still haven’t made it financially,” says the 55-year-old.
“But as soon as I’m back on my feet, I’ll find a solution. I’m a generous guy.”
