High Representative Josep Borrell and the UN Secretary-General’s personal envoy for Cyprus, Maria Angela Holguin Cuellar, had a short meeting in Brussels.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday morning, Mr Borrell said “I had a good meeting with the personal envoy of the @UN Secretary General Maria Angela Holguin”.

It is remembered that Mrs Holgin was to be in Brussels on Monday and Tuesday.
According to what was announced, he had meetings with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, the Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, and the head of the Commission’s Directorate General for Reforms (DG REFORM), Mario Nava.
Although it was initially thought that he would not be able to hold a meeting with Mr. Borel due to his move to Saudi Arabia, the two eventually met in a short time.
