The Granica Group works on the border between Poland and Belarus, regardless of the political changes in the country. Their activities aim to help migrants trying to get to Poland. On Saturday, the group reported an incident in which two Somalis were transferred back to the Belarusian side of the border despite having submitted applications for international protection.
“Perhaps someone from Donald Tusk’s government would like to explain why the Polish Border Guard is deporting teenagers abroad who seek international protection in Poland?” – asked activists in the their Facebook post.
Janina Ochojska, MEP from the European People’s Party, criticized the actions of the Border Guard in her response to the entry of the Granica Group. “It is difficult to expect a different treatment by the Border Guard if Donald Tusk’s team approves,” Ochojska said. She said that although she respects Donald Tusk for what he has done for a free Poland , democratic, we cannot forget about the rule of law and compliance with the law, which also applies to migrants.
