A great success, especially because the weather was good with more than 10,000 people who took part on Saturday 10 September, from the Auditorium to the squares and streets of Bordeaux, at the opening of the 22/23 season of the ONB, which the 130,000 listeners of France Musique who broadcast the concert live were added, as well as the 500 people of the ONBA operation in sharing. This unprecedented operation of the Opéra National de Bordeaux, which had taken up the challenge of democratizing opera and symphonic music beyond its walls. And to meet an audience that does not always dare to enter the Grand-Théâtre or the Auditorium, thus reminding us that the emotions of a live performance are accessible to everyone, far from the ideas received. The audience then responded in large numbers given the ease of access to this concert and we can only greet this experience which deserves to be renewed to put so-called “classical” music within everyone’s reach in the public square.
