Boot and Drupa, two flagships of Messe Düsseldorf, changed managing directors on August 1st. With the new addition to the management trio – Marius Berlemann will be the new operational managing director at the beginning of the month – there will be adapted trade fair responsibilities within the management. The leisure fairs will be bundled within the operational management. The responsibility for the Bootthe largest water sports trade fair in the world, is changing from Wolfram N. Diener, Chairman of the Management Board, to Marius Berlemann. The operational managing director is also responsible for the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf, the leading international trade fair for mobile travel.

In return, the A ruinthe international No. 1 for print technologies, will no longer be part of the operational management, but will be located under Wolfram N. Diener, who has already organized numerous industrial trade fairs in the Messe Düsseldorf These include the global leading trade fairs for the wire, cable and pipe industries, Wire and Tube, the international trade fair for industrial valves Valve World Expo, the world’s largest packaging trade fair Interpack, and the world’s leading trade fair for unmanned systems and robotics in the USA, Xponential, which will have its first European edition in Düsseldorf in February 2025. According to Diener, the advantages of the new responsibilities are now arranged in such a way “that they can develop the best possible synergies in the coming years.”
In addition to the Boat and Caravan Salon, Berlemann is also responsible for the world’s leading trade fair for plastics K, the leading international trade fairs for medical technology and healthcare, Medica and Compamed, the leading trade fair for rehabilitation, prevention, integration and care, Rehacare, the global number one for wines and spirits, Prowein and the world’s largest trade fair for retail, Euroshop.
In addition to the operational reorganization, Bernhard J. Stempfle, Managing Director of Finance and Infrastructure, will continue to be responsible for finance as well as the “Digital Strategy & Communication” and “Technology” divisions.
