This time, for people who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 using Pfizer vaccine and Moderna. The booster injection as a booster is probably not needed. This was revealed from the results of a study in Nature.

Report New York Post said that a new study in Nature shows that the MRNA-type Covid-19 vaccine provides years of protection. “It means that people who have been injected with full doses of Pfizer or Moderna vaccines may not need booster injections in the near future,” he wrote. Newser, Tuesday (29/6).

However, it was further stated that it comes with the caveat that the coronavirus is in fact constantly evolving and that significant new variations could make booster injections necessary.

The findings of this study were welcomed by Marion Pepper, an immunologist from the University of Washington. He said the study’s findings showed that B cells also evolved and could eventually provide protection against the growing virus.

“Everyone is always focused on the evolution of the virus, it also shows that B cells do the same thing and that would be protective against the ongoing evolution of the virus, which is really encouraging,” said Marion.

For information, from the Forbes report, this study is known to not explicitly discuss new types of variants such as Delta. The sample study also did not include anyone who received a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, although lead investigator Dr. Ali Ellebedy of the University of Washington said the immune response to J&J’s vaccine would likely be less robust in the long term. But the MRNA vaccine is much better.
