Booster dose application continues low in the state: Ruiz Uribe – El Sol de Tijuana

Despite mentioning that Baja California is an example of vaccination in the country, the application of booster doses is very low, said Alejandro Ruíz Uribe, sole federal delegate in the state.

“We have vaccines in existence, there is a vaccination plan that is being relaunched so that we can advance in this field,” he said.

During a press conference, Ruíz Uribe pointed out that the age range that has come to apply their booster vaccine to a lesser extent is 20 to 39 years of age, since since the start of the pandemic 609 thousand 398 people have received their first doses, but only 98 thousand 850 reinforcement doses have been applied, which represents 16.22%.

The second age range that has received its booster vaccine the least is 30 to 39 years old, since of the 477 thousand 180 citizens who received their first dose of biological, 136 thousand 360 went to get vaccinated with their booster, this represents a 28.57%.

“We know that a lot of people went to get their second and third doses in the United States, but we also know that a lot of people are no longer getting their second dose because they got dizzy from the first one, or because they feel so strong and that the danger has disappeared, the virus is still out there killing people little by little, it continues to stalk our lives,” said the sole federal delegate.

These figures presented by the sole federal delegate are from the end of last week.
