Forced, after the retirement of two general practitioners, to go to the medical offices of the surrounding municipalities, the Risclois often travel more than 10 kilometers for a simple appointment with the doctor. From the next school year, the inhabitants of the town will finally find a nearby health offer.
Patients will thus benefit from a renovated medical center in rue des écoles, in the city center. Thanks to regional aid of more than € 60,000, the already existing building will be renovated. The structure, which already brings together health professionals, will also benefit from new equipment to promote the work of doctors and to improve public reception.
Two, or even three general practitioners will also be recruited, released from any administrative activity which will be taken care of elsewhere. The reintroduction of this sustainable care service makes it possible to fight against the decline in medical demography in rural areas.
