Chennai: It was the debut of three Indian players in India when they went down to play in the first Test of the series against England. Indian pacer Jaspreet Boomra’s first Test with Shubhman Gill and Washington Sunder.
Boomera is playing its first Test in India after 17 Tests in its career. Boomera, who made his Test debut abroad, has played in South Africa, England, the West Indies and Australia, but is making his debut in India.
The start of his Test debut in India was a dream come true for Boomera but Rishabh missed the ball. Burns made his way to the fine leg in the first delivery thrown by Boomera in his first Test in India.
With the bat, the ball reached the wicket-keeper’s side. Rishabh dived to his right but the ball bounced off his glove. Boomera has been named the longest-awaited bowler to make his home debut.
So far it has been named after Jawaharlal Srinath who has been waiting for 12 Tests. RP Singh played in India after 11 Tests. Sachin Tendulkar and Ashish Nehra have played their first 10 Tests outside India.
