Books to the air takes the Aerial Cable Station Los Cámbulos, in Manizales

The renowned Libros al Aire program, led by the Caldas Ministry of Culture through the Departmental Network of Public Libraries, continues in 2022. It will be at the Los Cámbulos station of the Manizales aerial cable car, where Caldas authors will be promoted with the new collection of Books on the Air, Reading for Travelers.

In 2021, through the outreach and promotion strategy of Caldense authors, the strategy was at La Nubia airport in Manizales. The objective is to promote reading and literary creation, in addition to bringing the most outstanding authors of the department and emerging authors closer to the readers who use the Manizales and Villamaría aerial cable car service.

By 2022, the Government of Caldas opted for new authors from municipalities such as Supía, with Luz Adriana Ortiz Ángel and her work Reflections of a soul that walks towards freedom; Marulanda, with Jairo Carmona Llano and his book Magical Tales. Also authors from Manizales, such as Jhelga Lorena Pineda Moreno and her work Diletante de ella, and Héctor Hernando López Hincapié, with Presencia y Distancia. This will continue this process that began in 2018.

It should be noted that the books are given away exclusively at the Los Cámbulos cable car station, and the reader can keep the book, leave it in the cabin, or can give it to another person where the tour ends.

The date
This Wednesday, July 27, will be the presentation of the new collection of Books on the Air at the cable car station Los Cámbulos, at 5:00 p.m.
