The public staff of the City of Plasencia will have the call library for equality, a space in the social services building that it will have copies «edited the majority by women, about women in sports, pioneering women, women who have made history, stories for rebellious girls … »
It is a project of the mayor Mayte Díaz which seeks to offer municipal staff and their families volumes with a gender perspective so that they “are well advised.”
The council has a budget of thousand euros to buy the books, proceeding from the State Pact against gender violence and the idea is that the library begins to function in August. Once the pandemic is over, the idea is to expand the project to the municipal library.
