The National Police recovered public documents, inalienable and imprescriptible of the heritage of the Community of Madrid found on the Internet. The most valuable are the ‘Book of the Provincial Hospital of Madrid. Treatise on male thoracic surgery’ and two files from the documentary fund of the Municipality of Ciempozuelos, both from 1827.
The Central Historical Heritage Brigade has received notices about its publication on the Internet, denounced by the Technical Unit for the Protection and Recordings of Documentary Heritage of the Sub-Directorate General of Archives and Document Management of the Community of Madrid
Ciempozuelos’ files are the ‘Declaration of production’ of the consistory and the ‘Auction of five items, wine, vinegar, oil, soap and meat’.
The book on medicine was on sale from 250 euros and the first of the decks, for 100, while the other was offered for 125.
The investigative activity allowed the agents to identify the sellers of these works, which were returned to the Regional Archives of the region.
They were all on the same website, where he was also later alerted that two files from the City of Chinchón were on display for sale, which filed the complaint through the head of the Municipal Archives and Libraries Service. One is entitled ‘Accounts of municipal excise duties and data’, from 1823, for 90 euros, the other is ‘Accounts of the Municipality of Chinchonentries and exits’, from the same year, advertised for 125 euros.
On this occasion, the agents also identified the seller of the two files, managing to recover them and then return them to the consistory.
