On February 5, the national selection of “Eurovision” will take place, where 17 semi-finalists will compete to get to the big stage of “Eurovision”. A record number of applications have been received this year, and Betsafe bookmakers have already made this year’s favorites.

Also in the favorite group are the self-proclaimed “rap princes” and the 21st century pop music diva “Other Boys” and their composition “Eat Your Salad” (12%).
A big surprise is the participation of the attractive cousins - Biceps and Triceps group “Bermuda Triangle”. Bookmakers rate their ingenious composition “Bad” with an 11% chance of winning.
Also this year, for the first time in the competition, the mentor of the show “X Faktors” mentors – Reinis Sējāns and Intars Busulis’ duo “Bujāns” with their fifth co-created song “He, She, You & Me”, whose chances to enter the finals are estimated at 8%.
Interestingly, many recognizable names have chosen a strategy such as comedy music, starting with newly formed ensembles competing with similar and more well-known ensembles such as Other Boys and Bermuda Triangle. It is difficult to say whether the strategy will work, but experience has shown that there have been years when it has produced the desired results.
