Sharjah Booker Prize winner, Sri Lankan writer Shahan Karunathilaka, will be the guest of honor at the Sharjah Book Fair today (Sunday) and will engage with readers in Forum One at the book fair venue at 7pm: 00.
Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1975, Shahan was educated in New Zealand. He has lived and worked in London, Amsterdam and Singapore. In 2010, his first novel ‘Chinaman: The Legend of Pradeep Mathew’ won several awards, including the Commonwealth Book Prize. His Whisden was voted the second best cricket book of all time. Shahan’s third novel “The Seven Moons of Mali Almeida” has been nominated for the 2022 Booker Prize.
