Doctors in the Warendorf district have been vaccinating children between the ages of five and eleven since Monday. Now the vaccination center is also starting.

District of Warendorf / Ennigerloh (gl) – From Friday, December 17th, children between the ages of five and eleven can also receive a corona vaccination. The appointments at the Ennigerloh vaccination center can now be booked on the district homepage (www.kreis-warendorf.de/imichtung). “We will plan more time for the consultation and the vaccination so that the parents are well informed and the vaccinations can be child-friendly”, explains the head of the health department, Dr. Anna Arizzi Rusche.
The child vaccinations take place on Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, December 19, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Monday and Tuesday, December 20 and 21, between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Further dates will be activated as required. The Biontech children’s vaccine is administered, which differs from the regular vaccine in terms of its simpler handling and lower dosage.

The decision about the vaccination of the children is made by the doctors with the legal guardians on their own responsibility. The legal guardians must consent to the vaccination of the children.
