This Thursday, at the Roma Cultural Center in our city, the books from the Identidades Bonaerenses collection were handed out.
Councilwoman Verónica Mc Loughlin said that “it is a joy for us to be delivering this type of supplies and elements for schools” and emphasized that “we believe that in these increasingly complicated times, our schools are an enormous space of support for children and families.”
For his part, Chief Inspector Fabio Ragone commented that “it is a source of pride for us to deliver this collection” and assured that “these pages will be part of the lives of Buenos Aires residents who attend public education.”
Meanwhile, the coordinator of the Provincial Reading and Writing Plan, Paola Davico, stressed that “the school guarantees the right of access to books and as teachers we guarantee that these books circulate and we have to get the children to take ownership of them, share them and talk about them.” “This collection is huge, and know that behind each book that you have in your hands and take to the institutions there is a lot of work and a lot of people who want these books to circulate,” she reinforced, making a special mention of the work done by the Minister of Culture and Education of the Province, Alberto Sileoni, because “he had the will to make these books reach.”
The meeting was attended by municipal and local educational authorities, as well as writers Juan Diego Incardona, Claudio Gómez and Félix Bruzzone, authors who are part of the collection.
