The dedication of Narcisse Sanou’s book entitled: “Bernard Zoungrana, model of life” took place on Saturday August 10, 2024 at the Espace Glorieux of the Church of Colma in Bobo-Dioulasso. It was under the leadership of Pastor Daniel Bouda, Senior Minister of the Assemblies of God Church in Colma.
This 143-page work, divided into two parts, follows the life story of Bernard Zoungrana, 84 years old, who gave part of his life to serve the lord. Based on facts, documents, testimonies, etc., the author Narcisse Sanou, in a simple style accessible to all, shows above all the rich career of the octogenarian, his professional journey, the trials him and explains how he will succeed in everything in Jesus Christ and with Jesus Christ. For Narcisse Sanou himself, the reasons for writing his work are in the subtitle. “Bernard Zoungrana is someone I’ve worked with a lot. His demeanor and hospitality are very friendly. He is very open and friendly. This really affected me. I said to myself why not take even more interest in his experience and make sure that his story and advice will be a lesson to the younger generation. It is all these elements that brought me together that made me write this work in his honor,” he explains. For Mr. Sanou, Bernard Zoungrana is also a religious life. He was one of the founders of ” The Youth Assemblies of God”. And as a result of his enthusiasm and enthusiasm for God’s work, this earns him the title of elder of the Church. “It is a place reserved for old people who, through their commitment and wise advice, have an important place within the Church”, affirms the author who invites the young generation to adopt good qualities to be life models as well.
The believers invited to be encouraged
Daniel Bouda, Senior Minister of the Church of the Assemblies of God in Colma and honorary president of this dedication service, congratulated the author for his work. According to him, “The merit of Narcisse Sanou is to have had the courage to write something for the new generation”. “In general, many people leave with things deep inside them and we haven’t had the time to get to know them well enough or there is no document about them. On the other hand, Narcisse Sanou wanted to write something about the life of Papa Zoungrana and that will inspire us to walk as he wanted. I invite faithful Christians to buy the book. Above all, I urge them to be inspired by this model of life,” says Pasteur Bouda. “When we go through the book, we just discover events through which the Lord has been gracious to me and he has always been my guide. I have a lot of experience and I have a lot of credentials to give. Thanks to the Lord, many things have happened in my life. I recognize that he is the one who has always guided me. Praise his name. I invite every faithful Christian to be faithful to the Lord, he will do the rest. If we are faithful to his word, he will smooth our way,” said Bernard Zoungrana. According to whom, the author of the book was attractive in this exercise that really reflects his life. Narcisse Sanou has published several works, including: “The Weeping Wanderer”, “Treason in the Name of the People”; “Burkinabe Revolution”; “Sad and tired”; “As Life Passes By” biography; and “Bernard Zoungrana, model of life”.
