April will put the emphasis on Dance and Books. This is stated by the Municipal Cultural Corporation, an entity that has used the Theater and the Cultural Center to carry out different free activities for this special month.
Today, Tuesday, everything started with the launch of the book “Voices of migrant childhood in Chillán” by academic María Loreto Mora. But that’s not all, because when it comes to books, this Thursday, April 4, there will be a double launch. On the one hand, the book “La Mano” by Roberto Rivera will be presented; and “The Pardon” by Claudio Martínez. The presentation of both copies will be borne by the director of Diario La Discusión, Francisco Martinic, and the activity will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Claudio Arrau Room of the Municipal Theater, with free entry and open to the entire community that wishes to accompany the authors. .
Continuing with the programming, this April 13 at 6:30 p.m., the presentation of Kokorone Music will take place. Tickets are on sale at TicketPlus starting at $13,000 at the gallery.
The show promises a unique atmosphere of the soundtracks of the most famous Studio Ghibli films, such as “My Neighbor Totoro”, “Spirited Away”, “Howl’s Moving Castle” and many more. A total of 25 songs will make you relive the best scenes from these 11 iconic films.
The Kokorone Music show will combine instrumental and vocal musical passages, intimate guitar and voice duets, and powerful ensembles that will transport you to the magical worlds of Studio Ghibli. All this will be complemented by an impressive staging, setting and aesthetics that faithfully reflect the spirit of the films.

During Dance Month, the School Dance Festival will take place on April 17 and 18 with the participation of groups from different educational establishments in the city.
This April 24, a reading and writing laboratory called Letters in Action will be held starting at 6:00 p.m. with free entry.
The Dance Month billboard closes with presentations from different academies in what has become a tradition in the city. The galas will be held this April 27 and 28.
