Considered one of the icons of French rap, Booba returns for a North American tour. He will perform in Canada from May 13 to 15 (Laval, Quebec and Toronto) before coming to New York for a unique concert at the Webster Hall, Monday, May 16 at 8pm.
Originally from Boulogne-Billancourt, Booba – whose real name is Élie Yaffa – needs no introduction. From his debut alongside Ali with their group Lunatic, he began to make a name for himself in the 90s. In 1999, he founded 92i, his own collective of rappers and French rap label. He launched his solo career in the early 2000s and went on to produce ten successful albums.
Also a businessman and father of two children, Booba continues his rise with the release of his new album “Ultra », in March of last year. The latter is already among the top 10 best-selling French rap albums of 2021. The Frenchman is about to receive his first diamond disc, for “Throne », an album unveiled in 2017 and which soon has 500,000 sales.
Note that you must be at least 16 years old to attend the concert at Webster Hall.
