After a long wait, the FAQ relating to the so-called Pc bonus. On 1 October, the decree which regulates the granting of vouchers for ultra-broadband, computers and tablets, to Italian families.
For the first phase, there are 204 million euros available, which will be able to satisfy 480 thousand families, with less than 20 thousand euros from ISEE, on an audience of 2.2 million entitled persons.
The criterion, as always in these cases, will be while: therefore the bonus is awarded to whoever asks for it first, through an operator. However, the measure will last a year and then it will expire on 1 October 2021.
PC bonus, the requirements to get it
As we at QuiFinanza have reported here, the PC Bonus to be granted must comply with these requirements:
- Internet voucher (connectivity at least 30 Mbps): 200 euros for families with Isee less than 50 thousand euros;
- pc or tablet voucher: 300 euros for families with Isee less than 20 thousand euros.
Families with Isee less than 20 thousand euros can access a voucher with a maximum value of 500 euros, which can be used as a discount on the Internet fee and for the supply of PCs or tablets. Planned only one voucher per family.
Bonus pc, what is phase I
At this time we are in the so-called fase I. What does it mean? As explained in the Government FAQ, the phase I voucher is dedicated to families with Isee less than 20 thousand euros and consists of one discount on the subscription fee to ultra-broadband Internet connectivity services, in the case of new user activations fixed network and the provision of a PC or tablet. The contribution for the purchase of a PC or tablet is paid only in the case of simultaneous activation of the connectivity service.
The measure aims to encourage the use of ultra-broadband services throughout the national territory. In the regions only Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Tuscany, and at the explicit request of these regions, the measure will be applicable only to users located in some municipalities. The list of municipalities will be announced as soon as communicated to Infratel Italy from the regions concerned.
What happens if the ISEE is more than 20 thousand euros, can you still benefit from the voucher? Unfortunately the answer is no. However, a measure (the so-called phase II) is being prepared for families with Isee over 20 thousand euros. Business owners should also have access to phase II, which they can reach up to 2 thousand euros.
How to get the pc voucher
To access the vouchers the beneficiary he will have to interface directly with his internet operator who participates in the Voucher initiative, using the ordinary sales channels. It is necessary to sign a contract with a minimum duration of 1 year with a operator accredited by Infratel Italia.
The supply of the PC or tablet must be contextual and directly connected to the contract for the activation of the connectivity service. It is not possible to buy a computer or tablet directly and then ask for the relative price to be refunded by voucher.
The beneficiary will also have to declare through self-certification that you have an Isee income of less than 20 thousand euros. The beneficiaries, therefore, have no direct relationship with Infratel Italia. The beneficiary does not therefore have to register on the sites managed by Infratel Italia to obtain the voucher, because the portal is dedicated only to operators.
